Xeomin is one of the most popular cosmetic injectables with FDA approval for the correction of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows. When injected into targeted facial muscles underneath the skin, Xeomin prevents the contraction of the muscles responsible for your dynamic wrinkles. Consequently, the expression lines smooth and fade away from the skin’s surface, making you look more youthful.

Your Xeomin Journey
Before Xeomin…
Your Xeomin treatment starts with a consultation. Our injectors will examine your facial skin, discuss your goals, and select the appropriate units of Xeomin for your goals. We personalize our Xeomin treatments to ensure naturalized results that betray no signs of cosmetic work or overcorrection. You may have to stop taking certain blood-thinning medications a few days before the treatment to prevent bruises.
During Xeomin…
The Xeomin treatment is performed as an in-office procedure under topical anesthesia. The service provider will cleanse your facial skin and apply a numbing gel to ensure comfort. The injector will also mark the treatment areas on your skin using special markers, following which Xeomin will be injected into your skin. The number of injections will depend on the number of treatment areas.
After Xeomin…
You may experience a few post-treatment side effects after Xeomin, such as redness, swelling, lumps under the skin, bruising, and discomfort. These side effects should last a few days, but you can resume your daily activities immediately. There is no downtime. The results will gradually appear after 3 to 4 days, with continued improvements for up to 2 weeks. The final results last for up to 4 months, following which you need maintenance treatments.
Xeomin FAQs
How does Xeomin work?
Xeomin works in the same way as all other neuromodulators. It’s made of botulinum toxin, a neurotoxin protein that blocks communications between nerve endings and the facial muscles responsible for your unwanted facial wrinkles. This treatment prevents the targeted muscles from contracting, thereby suppressing or softening the associated wrinkles. Your facial skin gradually smoothens, and the wrinkles fade away.
What’s the difference between Xeomin and Botox?
Xeomin is considered a pure form of botulinum toxin. Botox and all other neuromodulators combine botulinum toxin with other proteins to add stability, making them last longer. Consequently, your body may eventually develop a tolerance to Botox and other neuromodulators with protein additives. Xeomin doesn’t contain any protein additives, so it can be used over and over without building tolerance.
